  • Service Technician

    Job Description/Responsibilities:

    Brady Systems is looking for a candidate with any mix of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, gas, and/or electronics experience. Responsibilities include the installation, inspection, calibration and preventive maintenance of scales hardware/software and scale interfaces. Additional responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing food service equipment. Prior scale or service experience is a plus but is not required. A positive attitude, good work ethic and a commitment to customer service is required.

    Start Date/pay:

    • Start date is flexible but our need is immediate.
    • The position is: Full Time
    • Pay is offered at or above market and is commensurate with a person’s prior experience.

     

    Requirements:

    Education/Certifications:

    • Associates degree is preferred but not required.
    • CDL Class B license is required.

     

    Experience:

    • Computer experience, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • The company will offer job training; however, prior work experience (1-5 years) is preferred.

     

    Other:

    • Good communication skills, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude are a must.

  • Industrial Weighing Field Representative

    Territory Location: Western NY, including Buffalo and Rochester

    Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated Field Sales Representative to join our Industrial Sales Department representing our Western NY market. This revenue-generating role will focus on selling a diverse range of industrial products, software, and services within the industrial weighing and automation/control markets. Must possess the ability to develop account penetration plans, create opportunities through one’s own actions, and aggressively pursue sales goals.

    You will work closely with customers in various industries, including manufacturing, logistics, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals, ensuring that all equipment operates at optimal performance while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Sales:

      • Identify and qualify sales opportunities for industrial weighing solutions.
      • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical consultations to prospective clients.
      • Develop proposals and provide product recommendations based on customer needs.
      • Negotiate terms and close sales in line with company objectives.

     

    Technical Expertise:

      • Stay up-to-date with the latest product features, industry standards, and technological advancements in industrial weighing systems.
      • Advise customers on best practices for maximizing equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and achieving cost-effective operations.
      • Assist with product training for customers and staff on the proper use and maintenance of weighing equipment.

     

    Relationship Management:

      • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, providing ongoing support to ensure high customer satisfaction.
      • Act as the primary point of contact for customers in your assigned territory, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree – engineering, technology, or a related field is preferred.
    • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably technical sales, with a strong background in customer-facing roles.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams. Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
    • Travel: Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory, including some overnight travel, as needed.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with METTLER TOLEDO or similar weighing solutions is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with industry-specific standards and certifications.
    • Prior experience with ACT! or similar CRM systems for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines.

     

    Work Environment:

    • Field-based role with a mix of office, customer site visits, and remote work.
    • Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when on industrial sites.
