Cut the Cable on Your Floor Scale
The new ACW520 wireless option kit from METTLER TOLEDO is designed for both new and existing METTLER TOLEDO floor scales. It eliminates the need for a cable from the floor scale to the display terminal. This solution is a battery-powered Bluetooth kit that replaces the traditional junction box and home run cable on a floor scale.

How It Works
The ACW520 wireless kit is comprised of three components: a digital junction box, a lithium battery, and a Bluetooth transmitter set for the scale and scale terminal. The battery and digital junction box are installed inside the floor scale along with one half of the Bluetooth transmitter. The other half of the transmitter is installed on the scale terminal and then paired with the floor scale transmitter. The transmitters work up to a 20-meter or 65 ft range. This kit is for use in non-hazardous areas only and requires a METTLER TOLEDO scale terminal running a SICSpro load cell interface to work.
Battery Life
The battery in the kit is a lithium-thionyl chloride battery. It will power the scale and Bluetooth adapter for about 2100 hours of use. The battery will last about 2 years with normal usage. It is not rechargeable. The scale terminal informs you about battery life. It will alert you when the battery life is at 50% or less.

The ACW520 wireless option kit is available for a portion of the METTLER TOLEDO floor scale line for both new and existing scales. The following models can be purchased new or retrofitted with the wireless kits. The scale must be a minimum of 36” x 36” in size:

Retrofit Existing Floor Scales
The wireless option kit is available as an upgrade kit for the same scale models as new scales. It requires a scale terminal with a digital interface so you may have to upgrade the scale terminal when upgrading to the wireless option. METTLER TOLEDO terminals available with the digital SICSpro interface are the IND570, the ICS4 series, and the ICS6 series.
